Social worker Reham Khan, also a former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, has said that she has no relation with former PTI member Ayesha Gulalai, who levelled allegations of misconduct at the party chief.

Addressing a press conference in Haripur, Reham said that she was not among the backstabbers and was not answerable to anyone. She said that she has had no contact with Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Amir Muqam.

She also said that neither Nawaz Sharif nor anyone else had asked her to write a book. “Defaming anyone is not in our tradition,” she said. “I’m not part of any planning, my planner is Almighty Allah. Everybody knows how I was defamed after my divorce,” she said.

Some leaders in the PTI had earlier claimed that Gulalai had levelled allegations against Imran at the behest of Amir Muqam and Reham Khan. Gulalai had alleged that Imran had hinted towards tying the knot in the texts sent to her, which also included inappropriate messages.

Dismissing such allegations, Reham wrote on Twitter that she does not use women and anchors to malign [others] and asserted that she has no contact with Gulalai. “I need no mouthpiece,” she wrote. “I’m a pure Swati Khan. I am no coward. I don’t conspire and act covertly,” she said in a subsequent tweet.
