The Khyber PK Minister for Sports, Culture and Tourism Syed Aqil Shah on Thursday formally launched the Media Cricket League here at a local hotel. The Media Cricket League (MCL) will kick off on May 16 at the F-9 Park Cricket Ground. MCL has become an annual event for the cricket lovers of the media. The final of the tournament would be held on May 22, and matches will be played from 4pm to 10pm.
Addressing the representatives of the teams at the launching ceremony, Syed Aqil Shah announced that the winning team will be awarded Rs. 100,000 with each man of the match receiving a cash award of Rs. 3000, while the player of the tournament will receive a 70 cc Motorcycle. He said that such refreshing activities for the media community will go a along way in creating harmony amongst all media players.
