Scores of pharmacists under banner of the Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA) held a protest in front of the Punjab Assembly (PA) on Thursday. The protesters were holding banners and placards and chanted slogans for their demands. Office-bearers of the PPA urged the prime minister and Punjab chief minister to take notice of the situation.
They said that salaries of doctors have been increased but pharmacists have been ignored. The protesters said that protests will continue until the government issues a 50 percent salary raise notification.
