Shah Rukh Khan who is known for his astounding acting skills, coupled with a veracious wit, recently gave an interview for the CNN show, ‘Now Showing’ in which, among other things, he also talked about his plans of joining the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his another venture.

The ‘Don’ actor has already joined hands with the veteran director on the Bollywood hit ‘Devdas’ in 2002. The beautiful film that he did with co-stars Madhuri Dixit Nene and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has now gained an iconic status among cinemagoers.

The actor-entrepreneur admits that the movies he choses have a lot to do with what he believes in and whether or not the script is worth even considering. “…So the balance has to be present – to be able to create a film which everybody likes including the family. And that’s the perfect film and perfect happiness…”

‘Bajirao Mastani’ was first offered to Shahrukh Khan before it went to fellow Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.

The actor stated his reasons for rejecting the role as, “A part of it was I am a little wary of getting into historical as it is one genre I feel I’ve to give up everything and just be in the zone- with all the costumes, and horse riding, etc,”

He also said that being a busy family man he does have other commitments too and his dates are usually hard to fit in. “The other reason is Sanjay has this really bad habit of offering me a film three days before the shoot is scheduled. He doesn’t give me a time window…”

However, fans should not lose heart since Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed that he might work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali soon, since the director has some interesting story ideas for him.

But due to SLB’s packed schedule because of his upcoming movie ‘Padmavati’, the duo will work on a later project.

The actor joked and said, “I think I am evolved enough now to be in a Bhansali film”

SRK will be seen in his next film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ next month on August 4, 2017.
