Fiza Imran, DG Punjab Food Authority, has organised special teams to revoke the license of shops that are caught selling Gutka.
Indian and locally produced gutka, both are openly being sold in markets which has brought to light some fatal diseases such as lung and mouth cancers along with serious intestinal and respiratory problems.
DG Punjab Food Authority has also posed a ban on school canteens selling ‘suparee’ in different packets.
