ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto on his 31st martyrdom anniversary to be observed on Tuesday.
In his message, the PPP Chairman said that Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto was martyred at the young age of 27 years by the dictatorial forces for his untiring and valiant struggles against the Zia regime, which kept hounding him until his martyrdom.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto waged movement for the restoration of democracy and remained in exile. He was groomed tenderly and lovingly by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Begum Nusrat Bhutto.
Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto suffered bravely after the martyrdom of Bhutto Shaheed, he added.
He said that PPP leadership and workers would always remember Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto in their memories as the youngest brother of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto who preferred to fight against the dictatorial regime and eventually laid down his life.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appealed the PPP workers across the country to hold special prayers for Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto.
