LSE falls marginally

The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) fell marginally with a slight increase in trading volume on Wednesday. The LSE-25 share index shed 5.12 points and closed at 3,224.60 levels. Volumes increased by 993,193 shares as a total of 2.91 million shares were traded. Among the 105 companies participating in trading activity, 30 increased, 28 shed weight, while the residual sustained opening levels. Japan Power Generation, with a volume of 527,604 shares, emerged as the volume leader followed by the Bank of Punjab, Bank Alfalah, Lotte Pakistan PTA and Silkbank. Pakistan Oil Fields, with an increase Rs 1.50, ended as the major gainer, while Oil and Gas Development Corporation, Sui Southern Gas Company, Flying Cement Company and Bank Alfalah followed a similar trend. Blessed Textile, Adamjee Insurance, MCB, Pakistan State Oil and Bank Al-Habib ended the day in red zone.
