LAHORE: A petition has been filed in Supreme Court (SC) praying the court to issue orders for making the report of the joint investigation team (JIT) on Model Town incident public.
Azhar Siddique Advocate, while filing a petition in the SC Lahore Registry, challenged the actions of the Punjab government for not disclosing the report of the JIT.
The petitioner took the plea that Punjab government has no moral or legal justification for keeping this report secret. It was also said that concealing the JIT report by the government shows its evil intents.
The petitioner further added that the Punjab government knows it well that the JIT report was against their interests.
