Iran says a partial ceasefire in southwestern Syria should encompass the whole country to make it successful.

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman told Tasnim News Agency today that the agreement can be fruitful if it is expanded to all of Syria and includes all the area that was discussed in Astana talks for de-escalating the tension.

The United States, Russia and Jordan announced a cease-fire and de-escalation agreement for the south-west Syria that took effect on Sunday.
