  • Punjab govt spokesperson questions PTI’s financial resources for public meetings

Punjab government spokesperson Malik Muhammad Ahmad has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan wanted to halt the development of the country and come to power through backdoor.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said that Imran Khan had been exposed before the masses as he had done nothing for them except for exploiting their sentiments. He said that Imran Khan was running a campaign based on speculations against the Pakistan Muslim League-N.

He (Imran) would get nothing from his ill-intentioned campaign, he said and pointed out that the PTI chairman had raised the slogan of ‘change’ during his election campaign, but what change he had brought about in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where his party is ruling for the last four years.

He questioned that from where Imran Khan was getting money for holding public meeting. He said that Imran Khan was trying his best to derail democracy. He said that the PTI was afraid of power projects, being completed by the government, as these projects would end load shedding and he would have nothing to offer to his voters.

He said that Imran Khan was misleading people through his malicious tactics. He said that whenever the courts summoned the PTI chief he started making lame excuses and did not complied with the orders. He said that the PML-N was pursuing the politics of responsibility, as it did not want to raise political temperatures in the country.

The government spokesperson said that the PML-N had nothing to be afraid of as it had people’s strong support with the grace of Almighty Allah.
