LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on Thursday, has said that the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has made unprecedented steps for prosperity, wellbeing and economic development of the people.

He expressed these views while talking to assembly members of the PML-N belonging to different districts of the province.

He added that when the PML-N came to power, the country was plunged in worst eternal and external problems. However, during the last four years, the historic journey of development and prosperity of the country has been moved forward with success under the current leadership.

He said: “We have transformed the graveyards of corruption of these rulers into minarets of development.” He further said that the corrupt rulers who bankrupted the nation are today boasting of launching the CPEC. He asked why these rulers did not launch this project in their tenure?

The corrupt rulers have given the gifts of darkness, poverty and joblessness to the nation. The nation has not forgotten the stories of corruption of these rulers till today.

On the other side, the sit-in group obstructed the journey to development and had increased the problems of the nation. They created a delay in development projects with their negative politics and adamant approach. The people have fully recognised the elements that have plunged the country into darkness.

No conspiracies of these elements will succeed and the PML-N government will continue the journey of development and prosperity, concluded the chief minister.
