KAMRA: Foundation stone for planning and development of the aviation city at Aeronautical Complex in Kamra was laid by Ahsan Iqbal and Air Chief Sohail Aman on Thursday (today).

Speaking on the occasion, Air Chief Sohail Aman described the establishment of the aviation city as a crucial step towards achieving self-reliance in defence production.

He also stated this to be an important lead towards the production of fifth generation fighter jets in the country. He said the aviation city will complement economic activities.

Meanwhile, Ahsan Iqbal said that a strong air force and an aerospace platform is imperative for a strong Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has played a critical role in the war against terrorism and, without its contributions, the nation would not have registered the immense success against the menace.

Ahsan Iqbal noted that air force plays an important role in any nation’s national security.

He said the establishment of aviation city will combine knowledge and industry expertise to create new opportunities for Pakistan in the field of aerospace.

“Aerospace is an important area for national development under Pakistan Vision 2025. We hope that we will be able to develop the capability to produce commercial aircraft soon,” he said later on social media.
