Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan wants to maintain good relations with all its neighbours.

He was talking to Tajik President Emamali Rehmon during a one on one meeting in Doshanbe on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan desires peaceful resolution of all outstanding issues including Jammu and Kashmir dispute with India.

He said India has escalated tension on Line of Control and Indian forces have violated ceasefire agreement repeatedly.

The Prime Minister said CASA-1000 project is a milestone of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan.

He said we want to enhance relations with Dushanbe in diverse fields.

Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has arrived at Doshanbe on a two-day official visit to Tajikistan.

Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda received Prime Minister at the airport.

A formal welcome ceremony held at the palace of President Imamali Rehmon where he was accorded guard of honour also.

A high-level delegation including Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, federal ministers Khawaja Asif, Khurram Dastgir and high officials are also accompanying the Prime Minister.

During the visit, leaders of the two countries will discuss bilateral relations in diverse fields and also exchange views on regional and international issues.

Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy identical views on regional and international issues and both countries cooperate with each other on international fora.
