Bail for two Sindh police officers rejected by SC

ISLAMABAD: The bail petition for two senior Sindh police officers charged with a Rs50 million corruption case has been rejected by the Supreme Court.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed a reference against two senior Sindh police officials, AIG Finance Fida Hussain Shah and AIG Logistics Tanveer Ahmed who had been alleged of generating fake bills to get funds worth Rs50 million as fuel allowance for vehicles of the Sindh Police.

After the Sindh High Court (SHC) had rejected the accused officials’ request for bail on June 19, the two accused has manage to flee from the SHC premises. However, it had been reported that little effort had been undertaken by NAB officials to arrest them.

However, the NAB officials arrested Tanvir from outside the SC today.
