Enemy wants to spread sectarianism through terrorism: Sajid Naqvi

LAHORE: Enemies wanted to ignite a wave of sectarianism through the tragedies like Parachinar, but the intervention by institutions of the country foiled their nefarious designs.

This was stated by the chief of Islami Tehrik Allama Sajid Naqvi while addressing a gathering at Chehlum of Shia Ulema Council on Monday.

Naqsi said that the enemies “wanted to create an environment of sectarian tension in the country, but that conspiracy has been foiled. Our institutions deserve appreciation for their role in this regard.”

He said that the nation would have to use all its energies to root out sectarian violence from society.

He said that Islami Tehrik and Shia Ulema Council were an important part of the Milli Yakjehti Council, which was a strong platform of the unity of the Muslim Ummah.

Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, Allama Sibtain Hyder Sbzuary, Allama Mohammad Ramazan, Allama Shabbir Hasan, Allama Asad Iqbal Zaidi, Allama Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi, Allama Nasir Mousavi, Dr. Hasan Sajid Naqvi and other leaders also addressed the event.
