One person was killed and two others injured over a property dispute at Chak 82-5L the other day. Shakir Hussain, his wife and brother, Khadim Hussain, were working in their field when Ghulam Husssain and his seven accomplices attacked them with hatchets and clubs over a land dispute. As a result, Shakir, his wife and Khadim received grievous injuries and were rushed to hospital where Khadim Hussain succumbed to hus injuries. Shakir and his wife were reported to be in precarious condition.
INTER-CITY DACOIT GANG BUSTED: Police arrested five members of an inter-city dacoit gang and recovered illegal weapons from him. Reportedly, on a tip off, Sahiwal DPO Rana Ayaz Saleem formed a special team which raided a bus near Fatoowala Morre and arrested Akbar Ali, Muhammad Azam, Bashir, Arshad Ali and Kausar Bibi. The gangsters had boarded the bus tom loot its passengers. According to the investigation, these accused were wanted by Nankana, Jhang, Gujranwala and Faisalabad police in various dacoities.
MAN BURNS WIFE: A man, Umer Hayyat, sprinkled kerosene oil on the body of his wife, set her on fire and burnt her badly over domestic differences at Chak No 136-9-L the other day.Reportedly, the accused sprinkled kerosene oil on the body of his wife, Asma Bibi, and set her on fire. As a result, she received burns and was admitted to hospital.
