Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday dismissed the petition of a woman against the restoration of Pakistan State Oil general manager on the presidential directives.

Justice Aamir Frooque heard the proceeding of the application. During the hearing, Deputy Attorney General Khalid Mehmood pleaded that the PSO GM had not sent unethical video messages through Whatsapp service to his secretary. He said that message had been sent wrongly as it was a touch phone.

GM Yousuf Mirza said that his secretary was like a daughter to him. He informed that his secretary has withdrawn the application but the inquiry committee announced the decision of his forced retirement.

Federal Ombudsman maintained the suspension order and then the GM appealed to President Mamnoon Hussain. The president approving the appeal restored the GM on his post.

Attorney General further told that PSO was not an affected party so it has no right to file appeal against the presidential order. In its orders, the IHC maintained that PSO was not a party and it (PSO) has failed to extract some objectionable matter from the presidential order. The IHC observed that the affected woman has already given forgiveness.
