LAHORE: Acting chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has expressed deep concern over the fresh wave of terrorism in the country and said the anti-Pakistan forces were carrying out terrorist activities to support the colonial agenda. He was speaking at an Iftar party in Gopal Nagar.

Liaqat Baloch offered condolences to the families of those martyred in Quetta and Parachinar and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured. He expressed the hope that the security forces would succeed in wiping out terrorism.

Stressing the need for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, for the liberation of the Qibla-e-Awwal, he said that unity could be achieved by empathising with our Muslim brothers in distress.

He said that freedom was the right of the Palestinians and the Kashmiris and as long as these issues were not resolved, world peace would remain elusive. He said that the patronage of the world powers to Israel was continuing their agenda to divide the Muslim world.
