Accused involved in attack on HESCO official held

HYDERABAD: The police have arrested the accused landlord involved in an attack on the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) sub-divisional officer.

The HESCO spokesman informed here on Thursday that a landlord of Amin Lakho village of New Saeedabad, identified as Anwar Shah, along with his two other accomplices had attacked on the SDO New Saeedabad Operation Sub-Division Irshad Memon after an exchange of hot words and ransacking the office furniture.

The HESCO spokesman said that after receiving information, the police immediately rushed to the office and arrested the landlord, while his accomplices managed to escape from the spot.

The police had registered the case under relevant laws against Anwar Shah and his accomplices and started an investigation with searching of escaped attackers, the spokesman informed.

Meanwhile, HESCO Chief Executive Officer Asadullah has expressed his grave concern over the continuous attacks at the HESCO offices, ransacking the records and injuries to the officers, officials and employees.

He demanded the Sindh inspector general of police to take notice of the matter and provide the protection to the HESCO’s employees, officials and officers.
