ISLAMABAD: National Accountability of Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry presided over a meeting, on Monday, to review construction work of the NAB’s new headquarters.
During the briefing, the members of the meeting were apprised by the Public Works Department’s (PWD) chief engineer (N) that the pace of work has been speeded up in the light of the directions NAB chairman’s directions during his last visit to the site, said a press release issued on Monday.
The fixing of granite, exterior glass and floor tiles is under process.
The pace of work has also been accelerated when it comes to the external development along with internal finishes like a false ceiling, PVC, panelling, etc.
The machinery, including generators, lifts, HVAC system has been arranged at the site.
The NAB chairman expressed his concern over the unnecessary delay in the completion of the project and emphasised on making efforts for completion of work.
He further observed that the work would not be completed as per schedule if the pace of work is not further accelerated.
Qamar Zaman directed the DG, PWD chief engineer and contractors to complete the remaining work without further delay and ensure quality standards in accordance with rules.
He stressed that there should be no compromise on the quality of material and execution of work.
