Saba Qamar who has been gaining a lot of of praise for her Bollywood film, Hindi Medium is nothing but excited to play slain social media star Qandeel Baloch, whose biopic is in the works. And no other actor could be a better choice.
Saba is known for making conscious and intelligent choices about the roles she chooses for herself. In an interview she said that she could do regular roles at any point in her career, but it’s good to do something her fans will remember her for.
“If anyone, it’s the people who need to be blamed for making Qandeel a social media sensation. If no one had followed her, she would not have made what she did. It’s they who are responsible for her death,” Saba added.
The first look of the biopic has earned the Maat star severe criticism, and reactions that she terms “very strong”.
“When we released the poster, the abuses poured in. If they are expecting an entertaining show, they will be disappointed. We are going to showcase the difficulties she faced, not glorify her. Either this show manages to change the way our community thinks, or I die doing it,” she concluded.
