The parents of Mashal Khan, finally received their son’s belongings yesterday, amid tears and wails. These were some of the items that the brutally murdered student had left behind in the hostel room of the university where he was studying.
Pictures that have come out can be described as heart wrenching to say the least. In one of the pictures, the mother can be seen longingly hugging the shirts that were worn by her beloved son days or maybe hours before he was brutally murdered in front of the whole university.
It is being reported that the belongings that have been received by his parents include a few of his clothes, and around Rs270 only. However, most of his other things, i.e. laptop, mobile and camera etc. were not sent along with the bag.
Mashal Khan was a journalism student in Abdul Wali Khan University who was lynched and then brutally killed by a mob in his university on charges of ‘blasphemy.’
