KARACHI: All the transporters or route operators of inter and intra-city transports are directed to implement the fare structure fixed by the government on the occasion of the Eidul Fitr in letter and spirit otherwise action will be taken against the violators.
An official statement issued here on Thursday said that Eidul Fitr is approaching and people tend to travel to their hometowns to celebrate Eid.
It has been observed that during the Eid days transporters resort to increasing fare at their own will causing extra burden on the travellers, the statement added.
Taking cognisance of the situation, the administration warned to transporters not to resort to fare hike.
