GUJRANWALA: A man murdered his sister after she was raped in Gujrat while the police called for the victim’s family to settle the matter with the accused.
The woman was allegedly raped by a landlord’s son five days ago. The victim’s mother alleged that the police did not register a FIR regarding the incident and instead asked for a settlement to be reached with the other party. She also claimed that the police beat her up, forcing her family to settle the matter.
The victim’s brother enraged at the case being unresolved, slit open his sister’s throat in the name of ‘honour’.
Later, the police arrested the landlord’s son and three others for forcing the family to settle the matter. The report did not mention the name of the personnel who delayed the filing of FIR and whose inefficiency led to the victim’s death.
Till when the girls should be raped by the RaeesZaada’s? There’s not any law which applies on such people?
