BADIN: The rulers have failed to fulfil their promise of provision of non-interrupted electricity to the masses during Sehr and Iftar timings. This could lead to country-wide protests.

These views were expressed by Sindh chapter’s Jamaat-ul-Islami chief Dr Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui, while addressing a large number of party workers present at the Iftar dinner hosted by Badin chapter’s Jamaat-ul-Islami (JI), the other day in Badin

He, while criticising Nehal Hashmi’s statement in which he threatened the JIT team formed for probing the Sharif family, particularly their London properties, said that all individuals are equal in the country and Nehal Hashmi, despite his relations with the ruling party, is not above the law.

The government’s efforts seemed futile in controlling the prolonged power outages in the country, particularly in Sindh, said the party chief.

He said that the rulers must control power outages otherwise more people will take to the streets.

The JI chief also accused the Sindh government of corruption and said that they have deprived people of their basic rights.

On the occasion, Moulana Ghulam Rasul Ahmedani, Badin Jamaat-ul-Islami chief Daud Shah and others also addressed the participants of the event.
