KARACHI: The third phase of intermediate examinations will commence today but gates of various centres were locked in the morning as Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association has announced to boycott the exams.

According to the association’s president, Ferozuddin Ahmed Siddiqui the inter-board chairperson Inam Ahmad was allegedly involved in leaking the question papers before the exam and facilitating cheating at centres.

Siddiqui went on to add that the board chairperson was also tricking the chief minister and counter-terrorism department in the matter.

Consequently, Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association are demanding that Ahmad be dismissed from his duty.

The association members have also padlocked gates of many centres, while in most of the colleges, exam papers had not reached in time.

Students appear wondering whether to stay waiting for gates to open or to leave.
