An Indian legislator has been booked for describing the cold city of Hyderabad, the capital of the southern Indian state of Telangana, as “mini Pakistan” and other ‘objectionable’ remarks, according to The News Minute.
The controversial lawmaker also said he was preparing a private army of youths to fight others.
“His interview is provocative, promoting enmity among the public and leading to the disturbance of peace, public order and communal harmony,” Hyderabad deputy commissioner of police V Satyanarayana said.
A case under the Indian Penal Code has been registered against him at the Mir Chowk Police Station in the old city.
Singh is a divisive figure and has several cases of hate speech pending against him.
Earlier, the police booked Singh for his statement that there was no place in India, for those who did not sing ‘Vande Mataram’.
Before that, the police had booked another case on the legislator for threatening to”‘behead” anyone who opposed the construction of a Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
The police have also booked Mohammed Abdul Majid of Darasgah Jihad-o-Shadat on same charges for conducting a mass drill with “arms” and lathis at the Hazrat Ujale Shah Eidgah ground on May 12 in addition to delivering a provocative speech.
According to police, he was conducting classes for volunteers and youths for “self-defence”.
Singh came out on Sunday saying there was “nothing wrong” with his “mini Pakistan” remark.

Hyderabad was a Hindu Majority State ruled by the Nizam. Yes, it did sign as an independent Princely State, but India can not accept a divided country within its own territories so Sardar Patel took over and the rest is a history. Father is wrong. As far as Kashmir is concerned it belonged to India for more than 5000 years. So India can never give it to Pakistan. For Nehru, it was a mistake to go to UN. But when UN authorized plebiscite, Pakistan did not like it because the public wanted to join India, so the problem of Indian ownership will never change.
