SIALKOT: Talking to the media on Sunday, Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power Khawaja Asif has claimed India has been attempting to destabilise Pakistan through incidents such as the killings of labourers in Gwadar and the Mastung blast. He further alleged that India and other anti-Pakistan elements have been attempting to disrupt development projects such as China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the country.

“If we put all these incidents on a canvas, we will see they intend to hinder progress,” he said.

Referring to the killing of labourers on the outskirts of Gwadar on May 13, he asserted that Pakistan will protect its boundaries at all costs.

He pointed out that Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri’s convoy was the target of the Mastung suicide blast on May 12. The incident claimed the lives of as many as 27 people while over 30 people were wounded.
