LAHORE: A 24-year-old woman, named Muniza, has been reportedly found dead in a house in Model Town on Friday night.
Muniza was a resident of Vehari and worked at the house as a maid. The Police suspect that the death has been caused by consumption of a poisonous substance.
A mobile phone was found near her body and she spoke to someone before she died, they added. The body has been handed over to her family afte legal formalities have been completed.
The case has been registered with the police authorities and two members of the employers’ family have been taken into custody.
The Police stated that investigation is underway and all possibilities are being explored to investigate whether the incident was a suicide case or the woman had been murdered by poisoning.
The police confirmed that the family of the deceased did not want an autopsy of the body.
