A Badin Police team—led by Station House Officer (SHO) Muhammad Ibrahim Jatoi—and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has conducted a raid in which three suspects were arrested for possession of hashish on late Saturday night.
A serving Balochistan Police officer was also among the arrested.
The raid was conducted, on a tip off, near main by-pass road Badin. The police stopped a black coloured Vigo vehicle and seized a huge cache of hashish worth rupees 2.4 million, according to a police statement.
The suspects were rounded up at the entrance road of Badin while smuggling hashish to Badin. The suspects belonged to a gang of drug dealers, said the Badin SHO.
Ibrahim Jatoi apprised media that along with huge cache of chars a pistol was also recovered from the accused, identified Moula Bux Lashari, Nabi Bux Lashari, Muhammad Bilal Lashari and Maula Dad Rind.
