The Pakistan Bar Council Thursday made an appeal to legal fraternity throughout the country to observe black day on Friday to condemn the May 12, 2007 Karachi carnage.
PBC Vice Chairman Muhammad Ahsan has requested the members of the bar and civil society for observing the nationwide black day. He requested the members of the bars, as well as members of the civil society for observing the nationwide black day on May 12.
All the Bar Associations throughout the country will hold protest meetings in their respective bar rooms to reiterate their strong condemnation of the tragic incident, when a large scale killing of innocent citizens took place.
The lawyers will hoist black flags on their office buildings and would also hold protests.
