Daim calls on Sindh governor, discusses investment opportunities

KARACHI: Saudi Arabian Consul General Muhammad Abdullah Abdul Daim on Wednesday called on Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair to discuss investment opportunities in the province.

The Sindh governor, on the occasion, said the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was immersed in the spirit of Islamic brotherhood that could in no manner be compromised.

Appreciating the long-standing support of the Saudis, he said that people of the country cherished and also kept in high esteem their relationship with the country that had always stood by them and their country in times of tribulations and trial.

The two extensively discussed the ongoing Pak-Saudi economic cooperation in different sectors and matters of mutual interest fields.

Muhammad Zubair said since the improved law and order situation in Karachi, the port city had re-emerged as an ideal city for investment.

A marked increase had been registered in the investments made in the metropolis and the foreign investors, in particular, are trying to take advantage, the governor added.

On the occasion, the Saudi consulate general said his country was keen to see a strong and stable Pakistan in the region.

He assured that Saudi Arab will provide all needed support and assistance for infrastructure development besides investing in the field of energy across the province.

Muhammad Abdullah Abdul Daim also assured of significant investment in the health, education and other development sectors.
