ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Wednesday has directed Imran Khan to submit a reply on the report of Capital Development Authority (CDA) which declares a portion of Imran Khan’s 300 Kanal residence illegal, among 122 other constructions in Bani Gala.

The SC heard a suo moto case against encroachments in Bani Gala on Wednesday. During the proceeding, Khan’s counsel Babar Awan informed the bench about his reservations upon which Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar remarked that Supreme court’s proceedings are not against any individual. He also said that analysts can be appointed by the Supreme Court in case the study is half complete.

During proceedings, CJP pointed out three key issues pertaining to the encroachment case.

“First issue is illegal cutting of trees whereas second issue is the construction of a wall around the botanical garden. The third issue is the provision of water to residents of twin cities from Rawal Dam”, pronounced CJP.

The court adjourned the case for three weeks.

Later, Imran Khan took to Twitter to announce that he would show complete money trail pertaining to purchase and sale of London flat, and money brought back to Pakistan before SC.
