6 PMTs, 1 pumping station built at Pak Colony

Six pole mounted transmitters (PMTs) have been installed at the Pak Colony at a cost of Rs. 50 million and a pumping station was also constructed in the area with Rs. 20 million. This was stated by the Sindh Minister for Auqaf, Abdul Haseeb, while speaking as chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the PMTs and pumping station at Pak Colony on Thursday evening.
The Minister said that it is the endeavour of the present government to provide more and more basic facilities like water and electricity to the people. That is why the six PMTs and a pumping station have been made available in the area, he added.
Abdul Haseeb said that in view of complaints of loadshedding, the PMTs have been installed at Pak Colony, Zuberi Colony, Rexer Lane and other areas to help overcome the problem of loadshedding.
He added that the PMTs have been installed in collaboration with the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC).
The Minister further stated that the construction of pumping station will help provide clean drinking water the people of the area.
He stated that the government is carrying out development projects in the poorer and backward areas so as to help improve the living standard of the people.
