Pakistan likely to observe first fast on May 28

Leading astronomers are predicting that there is a strong possibility that that the Ramadan moon will be spotted on May 27 which means that that the country will observe their first fast on May 28. Renowned astronomer of Karachi University Professor Dr Shahid Qureshi told that there were minimal chances of watching the moon on May 26 and high chances that it can be seen on May 27. He further added that the same likelihoods  exists in other countries like Saudi Arabia,Africa and different parts of America. He told that there was a good chance of seeing the moon during the night between May 25 and 26 in those countries.

On May 26 the age of the Moon will be 18 hours and 30 minutes in Karachi and will remain at 90 degrees for 39 minutes but due to humidity and warm climate, the moon will not be visible. The moon will be visible all around Pakistan on May 27.

Pakistan has been celebrating Eid in two parts for quiet some time now as parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA celebrate one day prior to the rest of the country  as they celebrate with Saudi Arabia. The general public of the country want the whole nation to celebrate together but there is always an indecisive split between the Ulemas of the country. Like every year the public hopes to celebrate the holy event together.
