Naval chief Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah visited the injured at Combined Military Hospital Quetta on Saturday to express solidarity with victims of Chaman firing incident.
The tragic firing incident occurred when Afghan forces opened unprovoked firing, targeting personnel of the Frontier Corps/Security forces and the population census team near the Pakistan –Afghanistan border at Chaman.
While expressing his profound grief and sincere sympathy on this tragic incident, the naval chief strongly condemned the sad incident of targeting innocent/defenceless civilians, including women and children. He pledged that in this hour of tragedy, the officers, men and civilians of the Pakistan Navy stand firm with the nation, particularly the aggrieved families.
CPSP to establishment Gwadar regional centre: In addition, College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) delegation led by its president, Prof Zafarullah Chaudhry, met Admiral Zakaullah.
CPSP president thanked him for the patronage of CPSP post graduate programme in higher medical education institutions, Bahria University, Fazaia College.
Admiral Zakaullah praised the services of CPSP rendered at national and international and declared the best role model institution in higher medical education.
Prof Chaudhry said that Gwadar is a very important region regarding CPEC and according to its importance CPSP will establish a regional centre in Gawadar in upcoming year for the better provision of higher medical education and training facility at a local level.
Admiral Zakaullah assured the provision of all possible assistance for the establishment of CPSP Gawadar regional centre.
