Tough times ahead, Wassan warns PM

Sindh Industries and Trade Minister Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that the coming month of July could prove dangerous for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing a press conference in Sukkur on Saturday, he said that many important decisions could be taken in July and some people will be removed, some would voluntarily leave the scene and some new faces introduced.

He reminded that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had protested and staged demonstrations against electricity load shedding during the then PPP government. He said they want a strong democracy and want unity amongst opposition parties.

Earlier addressing a seminar at IBA Sukkur, Manzoor Hussain Wasan urged the government to take steps for fast development of industries.  He said developing industries sector in Sindh is necessary for the socio-economic development of the province. He asked universities and educational institutions to play their role in this regard.

On the occasion, Pakistan Foundation Chairman Dr Muhammad Haved Asharf, PASTIC Director General Muhammad Akran Shaikh, IBA Director Sukkur Nisar Siddiqui, programme coordinator Abdul Fattah Shaikh, and others also spoke.
