Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) and Chairman Supreme Judicial Commission (SJC) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar while approving for preliminary hearing reference filed against Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has convened meeting of Supreme Judicial Council on May 16.
Sources said that in the meeting of SJC, the matter, whether the reference filed by PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry against chairman NAB is maintainable or not, will be considered. If it is found maintainable then it will be fixed for regular hearing.
PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry has also been called to the meeting which will be held in conference room of Supreme Court building on May 16 at 2pm.
It is vital to mention here that PTI had filed a reference against Chairman NAB under Article 209 of the constitution just after the disclosure of Panama case verdict.
