Islamabad High Court Bar has demanded of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to step down, saying if PM Nawaz does not resign then lawyers will launch an anti-government campaign from May 12.

IHC Bar President Arif Chaudhry, while addressing a press conference, on Friday said, “If PM didn’t step down then lawyers will organise an anti-government protest campaign.”

There is a clear cut question mark on the money trail of PM’s children, now we have only one demand that PM should resign and present himself before the JIT, he underlined.

One delegation of IHC had desired to hold a meeting with the PM to discuss different matters of IHC but after the verdict of Panama they have no desire to meet him, he added.

Due to Panama case, state institutions were being defamed, he said. He further questioned the legitimacy of allotting two plots to judges of the Supreme Court.

IHC Bar will hold a convention on May 12, in which all leaders of political parties will be invited, he stated.
