DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf said that Lahore Police has geotagged over 5000 sensitive buildings and that the information regarding these buidings has been acquired by the police.

When the operation room’s plan was implemented it was decided that all the sensitive buildings in the city must be geotagged and divided into different categories for their safety. All the concerned SHOs of the city were directed to provide details of important buildings, such as, banks, hotels, factories, filling stations, hospitals, markets, religious buildings, parks and political offices. These buildings will then be geotagged after which the police officials will be assigned to their daily visits to supervise security arrangements. For this purpose they are provided with android applications. After geotagging all the buildings a security audit will be conducted in which all the information, such as, number of guards, cameras, vintage points, walkthrough gates will be included.

A mechanism is designed through which an officer responsible for the security arrangement will put in all the details in his phone through android application.

DIG operation Haider Ashraf said Lahore Police is putting in all its efforts to ensure the safety of the people, and police will be supervising the buildings through geotagging and android applications which will be duly monitored by the higher police officers.
