8 terrorists killed in joint operation of security agencies

As many as eight terrorists were killed while one other was injured in a joint search operation conducted by security agencies and Rangers in DG Khan.

Sources said that Rangers and intelligence agencies carried out a raid on a hideout of terrorists affiliated with banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Daduni. On spotting Rangers, terrorists opened fire on them. As a result, three Rangers personnel were martyred and two sustained injuries. Out of them, one was stated to be in a critical condition and shifted to CMH Multan in the emergency ward. While in retaliatory firing, eight terrorists were killed and one of their accomplices was injured. Out of them, two were identified as Asghar and Naeem.

Apart from this, six suspicious persons have been held by Rangers during the cordoning off of the area after the incident.

All have been shifted to an undisclosed place for further interrogation.
