The Annual Sports Day of The City School E-11 Campus Early Years Education (EYE) Section was held here on Thursday. The theme of the event was animal farming and was aptly named as ‘Barn Bell Olympics’.
For the event the playground was decorated according to the theme with colourful and vibrant displays all around. With the barn house, cart wheel, hay stacks, tractors, flags and balloons of the respective house colours the play area felt like an actual farm.
100 per cent of the students from EYE Section participated enthusiastically. Children presented a spectacular welcome dance, pt display, aerobics and breathtaking display of gymnastics. Students also participated in different games like sack race, bean bag race, one leg race, sprint race, hurdle race and spoon & lemon race. Audience, mainly comprising parents and guardians, highly appreciated the efforts of all the students.
Headmistress Ms Samreen Ali along with teachers welcomed Ms Itrat Rubab Haider and Ms Uzma Naureen as guests of honour. Ms Rubab distributed the prizes amongst the winners.
While addressing the audience, she stated that physical education was an essential part of students’ life and appreciated the efforts and hard work of the administration and the teachers of EYE Section.
Principal Ms Mehwash Ibrar stated, ‘Sports and physical training leads the individuals towards success. It is a significant constituent of a students’ life and that is how a child learns how to savor the win and how to endure defeat’.
Ms. Ibrar congratulated Ms Samreen Ali of EYE Section and her team for organising a very well-coordinated and a successful event.
