‘Kidnapping’ of Zardari’s aide: SHC issues notices to DG Rangers, federal, provincial govts

KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Tuesday issued notices to Sindh Director General Rangers, Federal and provincial governments on a petition filed against the alleged kidnapping of one of the close aides of former President Asif Ali Zardari.

Islamai Marri, a brother of Ghulam Qadir Marri has moved Sindh High Court (SHC) stating that his brother along with his two employees was kidnapped when he was returning home after attending Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s death anniversary.

He prayed the court to direct the federal and provincial government authorities to recover his brother.

The SHC issued notices to the DG Rangers and federal and provincial governments for April 14 and adjourned the further hearing.

It is to be mentioned here that Ghulam Qadir Marri, a close associate of PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, went missing along with his driver and two other people a few days ago.

The three other people who have gone missing with Marri have been identified as Khan Mohammad Mangi, said to be a secretary of Mr Marri, Sajjad Arain and driver Mehboob Khaskheli.
