KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party’s (PSP) protest against government’s corruption entered fourth consecutive day on Sunday.

The party staged a sit-in outside the Karachi Press Club.

Speaking on the occasion, PSP Chairman and former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal has said the protest would continue until the basic rights of the City’s residents are restored.

Carrying placards and shouting anti-government slogans, the PSP workers demanded that the provincial government fulfills the basic needs, including the provision of water, electricity, and a proper sewage system.

Kamal claimed that people came out of their houses to support the party’s stance in over 20 locations across the country.

He alleged that the Sindh government had taken over the local government department so as to carry out corrupt activities.

Meanwhile, Jamaat Islami (JI) has announced a new schedule of protests against K-Electric in the metropolis. The JI has been demonstrating against the power entity for its alleged overbilling and electricity load-shedding.
