5 PSP officers transfered from Sindh to KPK, Punjab

In the wake of Sindh government’s failed attempts to remove Sindh Inspector General (IG), Allah Dino Khawaja and his aides, the Establishment Division has transferred five officers of Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) from Sindh to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab.

Though, 11 PSP officers presently posted at Punjab province included, Ali Mardan Khoso, Abdullah, Muhammad Maaz Zafar, Shahbaz Ellahi, Manzoor Ali, Zunera Noor, Muhammad Behram Khan, Muhammad Imran Sethi, Shah Nawaz, Shazia Sarwar, and Syed Ali were promoted to BS-18.

Curiously, no officer posted in Punjab was transferred.

On Friday, the Establishment Division issued notifications of promotion of 30 PSP officers from BS-17 to BS-18.

Five officers from Sindh included Fahad Ahmad, Abdullah Ahmed, Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem currently had been promoted and placed at the disposal of Punjab government; Muhammad Rashid, Muhammad Asim were placed at the disposal of KPK government, while, Shahla was promoted and remained posted under Sindh government.

Moreover, Syed Ghazanfer Ali Shah, Naseeb Ullah Khan, Faraz Ahmed and Shamyl Riaz Malik presently posted in Baluchistan were also promoted and were remained posted under Baluchistan government.

Asif Amin Awan, Capt (r) Muhammad Ajmal, and Lt (r) Ahmed Mohiuddin were promoted and remained posted under Gilgit-Baltistan government.

Kashif Zulfiqar, Muhammad Furqan Bilal and Imran Ahmed Malik were promoted and remained posted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

Three officers of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) included Syed Zeeshan Haider, Sumera Azam, and Arsla Salim has been promoted to BS-18. However, services of Syed Zeeshan and Sumera were placed at the disposal of the government of KP.

Reliable sources, privy to the development, said that surplus PSP officers posted under Sindh government were transferred. He said that there is a shortage of 63 PSP officers in Punjab, and that’s why no officer was transferred from Punjab. He said that there is a shortage of 25 PSP officers in KP.

He said that if the government of Sindh will write to Establishment Division then the transfers of the aforementioned officers may be reinstated.
