SBCA demolishes unauthorized structures

The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) in compliance with the directives of Director General Agha Maqsood Abbas, has sealed several plots and partially demolished unauthorised structures in Saddar, Clifton, and several other areas in Karachi.

Sharing details of the action taken against violators of the law here on Friday, SBCA officials said that more than 20 unauthorised structures raised on different plots across the metropolis were demolished during the past two days.

In Clifton’s Bath Island area, the fifth floor of a building raised on plot number D-10/E was torn down along with an unauthorised structure on the 9th floor of a building on plot number BC-3, block 1.

Constructions made on the mezzanine floor of a building on plot number 372 Jamshed Quarters in Jamshed Town was said to be brought down in compliance with orders by the Sindh High Court and illegal construction on the third floor of a building on plot number D-215, Mehmoodabad was also demolished.

A structure built as ground plus first floor on plot number R-992, block 8, was also demolished along with a structure on plot number 1856 in Federal B Area.
