Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi unveiled the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at Edhi Home in Karachi on Thursday.
A month after the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 tour was launched in Dubai, the trophy was presented to honour the services of Abdul Sattar Edhi.
The next stop for the trophy will be the Karachi University in the afternoon, where students will get an opportunity to see the trophy and meet cricket stars.
Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan is also likely to join the event at the university.
The ICC trophy tour was launched earlier this year and Karachi is the trophy’s sixth stop after Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Dhaka and Colombo.
The trophy will be taken to South Africa.
The 2017 ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to be a One Day International cricket tournament held in England and Wales between 1 and 18 June 2017. This will be the 8th edition of the tournament.
