Market turns into drug den

In Jalalpur Bhattian, the local parliamentarians with the help of the district government built a market of 110 shops by spending millions of rupees, which has turned into a drug den. The shops of the market have not so far been distributed among the deserving even after the lapse of two years.. The drug-addicts of the area remain here all the time and also expose their waste excrements due to which unbearable odour spreads all around.
The masses, especially those who took part in the auction and paid money to the government are still waiting for the allotment of the shops. They have demanded DCO Capt (retd) Muhammad Asif and CM Shahbaz Sharif alolt these shops to deserving people on the basis of merit as soon as possible.
WORKSHOP ON WOMEN’S ROLE HELD: Social Welfare Department and the NGOs working for gender disparity launched a one-day workshop with the collaboration of the district press club on women’s role in a society. DO Social Welfare Nawaz Gohar, gender specialist Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad and Hafizabad Press Club Chairman Siddique Bhatti highlighted the vital role of women in the Pakistani society and opportunities for them to work. A number of journalists and other notables participated in the workshop.
