KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Sheikh Abdullah recently joined Mustafa Kamal’s Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) on Wednesday after resigning from his seat in the provincial assembly.

“I heard MQM founder speech of March 5 and decided that I had had enough of the propaganda against the country,” said Abdullah.

While speaking at the party headquarters in Karachi, he also said that he had been in talks with the PSP leadership since its inception but did not announce his association publicly.

PSP leader Mustafa Kamal was also present at the press conference where he announced holding a political demonstration on account of Pakistan Day at Karachi’s Nishtar Park.

“We are organising a convention at Nishtar Park tomorrow. People will see a remarkable demonstration of a-year-old party on Pakistan Day,” Kamal said.

The leader of the party which started out as a major rival force for the MQM in the metropolis last year said he was in contact with ‘everyone’ in the ranks of his former party who would soon come and join him.
