Anti-Corruption Establishment (AEC) has initiated an inquiry against under suspension Deputy Director Agriculture, Water Management Lahore Muhammad Tahir Faizi for depriving a person of rupees 3.1 million of by selling a bogus residential plot.
Official sources said that Muhammad Tahir Faizi in his official capacity met the aggrieved person Muhammad Shafique of Gulshan-i-Ravi and promised to sell him a one kanal residential plot cheaper at A-one Homes, Johar Town. It was further alleged that Rs.2.1 million was paid to him while another sum of Rs.1 million was given after a week while remaining Rs1.2 million was to be paid after final deal.
On suspicion, when the number of plot was checked from LDA, it was reported to be non existent. The ACE taking cognizance, summoned him through notice to appear before the inquiry officer on May 2. Tahir is now behind the bar on the charges of bouncing of Rs.1.45 million cheque in connection with another bogus residential plot in the same area. Other victims include Rashid Ahmad, Muhammad Saeed, Muhammad Hanif, Syed Noor Ul Hassan, Dr Abdus Salam and Dr.Waqar Chaudhary.
Muhammad Tahir Faizi, also, committing a fraud purchased a 9-kanal plot in prime location facing towards canal near Wafaqi Colony in his name and several other plots in the name of his wife Fauzia Tahir and younger brother Ahmad Umar. The aggrieved requested strict action against Muhammad Tahir Faizi, reportedly a frontman for Malik Muhammad Mansha Khokhar alias Bomb of Johar Town.
